SOLAR ROOFING

Solar shingles and solar roofing in Central Washington

Solar shingles and roof-mounted panels from a roofing crew that checks the roof first, so the system goes on something sound.

Chapter 01

Start with the roof under the panels

Solar is only as good as the roof it sits on. If your roof is nearing the end of its service life, replacing it before or during the solar project is often the most practical choice. It reduces the risk of having to take the solar system off later just to finish roofing work.

That is why a roofing company is a sensible place to start. We look at the roof first, then the solar. We handle the project from start to finish, so the roof and the energy system are planned together.

Solar shingles, roof-mounted panels and new construction

We install CertainTeed Solstice solar shingles and SunStyle solar roofing. These work like regular roofing materials, and they also capture sunlight and turn it into electricity for your home or business. They have a low profile, so the solar blends into the roof instead of sitting on top of it.

Traditional roof-mounted panels are the other route. They go over a compatible roofing system with secure mounting equipment, and a system can be designed for a new roof or, when the condition of the roof allows, an existing one.

If you are building, planning solar during construction lets the roof and the energy system be designed together. We help work out which option fits the building, the way you use power and your long-term plans. We offer solar roofing in Central Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Chapter 03

What solar can do, and how a project runs

The benefits are real, and they depend on your property. Solar can lower your monthly electricity costs, use clean energy from the sun and reduce your reliance on the grid. Incentives such as the Federal Solar Tax Credit and the Washington State Sales Tax Exemption exist, and what applies to you depends on your situation, so check the current rules before you plan around them.

Every project starts with an evaluation. We inspect your roof, take measurements and use a drone for detailed photos. Then we explain your options and walk you through the materials and each step. You receive a clear proposal with project steps, pricing and terms before anything starts.

Once you approve the proposal, we do the work and clean up so no debris is left for you.

"Of the five contractors who submitted bids, Zack was the only one who went into our attic to check for temperature and humidity, and to inspect the condition of the plywood sheeting." Tim Taylor, Google review

The roofs we build are the base

These are two of our metal roof jobs, shown for the roof work itself. They are not solar installations.

Roof first, solar second.

Putting solar on a roof that is near the end of its life means doing the work twice. We inspect the roof, show you what we find, and plan the roof and the solar as one project.
