Locally owned, roofing since 2000
A remodeling crew that became the roofer for Central Washington
Columbia Plateau began in 2000 as a small remodeling business. Then a roofing crew came to Dan Schilperoort with a proposal: if he could sell the roofs, they would handle the work. That partnership turned into the company that now roofs homes, barns, churches and businesses from Union Gap to Cle Elum.
Dan had earned a Construction Management degree at Central Washington University in 1990, and he started the roofing side with tile, an area with little competition at the time. From there the work grew into shingle, metal, flat and copper roofs.
Then the wind taught them something else. Ellensburg is called the Windy City for a reason, and manufacturer wind warranties on shingles were limited to 15 years. So the company built Gust Guard: Sure Grip fasteners, 50% more than the industry standard, and a lifetime warranty against shingle blow-offs for as long as the homeowner owns and lives in the home. For metal roofs there is Glacier Guard, which holds back sliding snow and ice.
They also keep their own small fabrication shop, so custom flashing gets bent to fit your valley or chimney. Every inspection includes drone photos and a look in the attic for ventilation, insulation, leaks and mold. The roof systems are offered as Most Trusted, Trusted and Basic, and the truck says “Most Trusted Roofing Co.” on the door.
“Roofing is hard, dirty work, but we take pride in making the overall experience as smooth and positive as possible.”
The goal he gave the paper: customers who end up as genuine fans.

Catch-All protection keeps siding, windows and landscaping safe from debris. The Equiptor lifts old roofing off without rutting your yard. A project manager stays on the job, and the crew cleans up every day.
A roof for the White Swan community
Dan and the crew have donated hours and supplies to Sacred Road Ministries, which serves the White Swan community on the Yakama Reservation. The ministry brings volunteer teams from around the country for service projects, and many of them are re-roofs and roof repairs. Dan trained those volunteers on proper roof installation, and the company put a roof on the ministry's mobile library.
Dan’s technical know how and willingness to volunteer his time have meant that hundreds of people can rest securely under a dependable roof.
