Part of my barn roof was severely damaged by the high winds in Ellensburg. I learned the standard three-tab asphalt shingles put on the roof over 20 years ago are no longer in production and unavailable at the large home building stores. Finding Columbia Plateau Roofing on-line, I spoke with Dan Schilperoort, Sr. Project Manager, who didn't hesitate to help. "No problem, we have a few three-tab shingles bundles to make your repairs." I will definitely be calling Columbia Plateau when I can afford to reroof my building. Their attitude and desire to help are exactly the kind of contractor I like doing business with!

Our experience with Columbia Plateau Roofing was top notch, from Mike the salesman, to Dan the owner, to Jose's amazing crew and Zack the Project Manager. Dan was great at keeping us informed about scheduling and accommodating a last minute color switch. We are very happy with the 50yr St Gobain CertainTeed Northgate Climate Flex shingles, the Gust Guard system, and the 30yr workmanship warranties, the meticulous job Jose's crew did and the cleanup.

We recently had our 30+ year old roof replaced and chose Columbia Plateua. The work was completed and we are very happy with how it went. Some comments on the overall process: - the pre-sale piece with Mike was very helpful and provided detail of what the process would be, about how long it might take and a breakdown of the materials (including options) that would be used - during the install, the crew was professional and courteous and at the end of each day, the debris was cleaned up. We received updates throughout the process so we stayed informed about how things were going. - the work was completed as scheduled and followed by a separate check to verify that everything was completed according to spec (this included a couple of cosmetic items that some of the crew needed to come back out and resolve). Overall, very happy with the whole process and the team that we worked with.

We had our church’s roof done by Columbia Plateau in May of 2026. We appreciated the methodical way they prepped both for installation and the worker’s safety. They cleaned up the area every day and made sure the building was accessible for Sunday services at the end of every work week. This was a tough building to roof and the crew did a wonderful job!

We had 2 Velex solar-powered skylights installed to replace our worn out existing skylights. Dan and his crew did a timely professional job. We hope to enjoy the functions of the skylights for many years.

We recently had Zack, from Columbia Plateau Roofing, come to our home to give us a bid on a new roof. I was extremely impressed with Zack's thoroughness and attention to detail. Of the five contractors who submitted bids, Zack was the only one who went into our attic to check for temperature and humidity, and to inspect the condition of the plywood sheeting. He also described how he would protect our in-ground pool during the project. While we didn't select CPR for our project because another contractor offered a product that had colors more compatible with our house, I believe that CPR would otherwise have been an excellent choice.

We came across Columbia Plateau Roofing at a local home show. We have been contemplating replacement of our metal roof, primarily for aesthetic reasons. Mike arrived on time to listen to our wants and needs, and he did an inspection of the attic to see if there had been any water damage. The moisture reading was excellent. Mike educated us on the entire process, start to finish, "showing-and-telling" the actual product and materials that would be used. The warranty, product, service, and attention to detail was impleccable. We elected not to move forward with replacement of the roof at this time. While "you get what you pay for", the estimate was higher than we were willing to pay. However, if our existing roof were to fail, we definitely would consider Columbia Plateau Roofing. We just were not willing to part with that amount of money when in reality it was primarily an "aesthetic want".

We do a number of service projects with volunteer teams from around the country which often include re-roofing or roof repair. We decided to go with Columbia Plateau for our roofing project. From the beginning when Zack came to checkout the project and give us an estimate we were impressed. He checked the he roof from the ground to the roof and into the attic to check for temperature and humidity the latter being high. His team did an excellent job with protecting our property with tarp’s before they removed the roof. They were very professional throughout and he process. Zack again checked the measurements in the attic and due to his recommendations to put a ridge vent system on the humidity was lowered by almost 50 percent. We’re very happy with the results.

We have now had our new roof for 6 months, and have noted 2 additional benefits. The roof has reduced outside noise, especially wind noise (we get quite a bit of wind), and has increased our roof insulation which we see because snow does not melt off the roof as quickly as it did with the old roof! We are extremely pleased with Columbia Plateau Roofing. The owner was professional and provided multiple options to address our needs, with a thoughtful discussion of the pros and cons of each. The work was done in a timely manner, everyone on the team was professional, and they cleaned up everything, leaving a completely clear site at the end. We were repairing the roof on an addition so there were challenges of tying into the existing roof, plus some features of the original design had caused problems in the past but, where changes to the contract were needed, they were clearly communicated and we were given options for different ways to solve the problems. We would absolutely work with this contractor again and highly recommend them.

Dan at Columbia Plateau roofing happened to be visiting us during the January 2025 winds that wreaked so much havoc here in Southern California. He was definitely the right man at the right time, because parts of our aluminum roof blew off, and we had no idea where to go to replace our over 30 year uncommon type of roof. He got right to work and found the company that manufactures a similar product. I was able to contact the company and find a roofer in our area that could do the job. Dan really knows his stuff and was quite detailed in what made the roof fail in those 85-100 mph winds. The roofer we contracted with detailed exactly what Dan had said about the cause of the failure. Thanks, Dan, for all the help. We probably would have struggled through several roofers before finding the right one. We are grateful for your expertise.

When I met with Mike he went over all the details regarding the materials they use and why. There were pricing options based on the type of shingles you wanted so it was nice to have choices to fit your budget. The crew worked very hard and finished the job early. They cleaned up very well each day. I did get a lower priced bid but I didn’t feel the quality of materials was as good and they didn’t offer financing options. After reading several reviews and talking to a couple neighbors, we had Zack out to look at the cedar shake roof on our shed. He climbed up and was so careful not to damage the shakes. After a thorough evaluation, he felt all we needed was a metal roof cap. The bid was very fair, so a couple days later Jose was here to do the install. He was very courteous and just as careful while up on the shakes installing the ridge cap. He literally put each old nail in his back pocket so none ended up on the ground for us to step on, and he hauled off all the old material. It was such a pleasure doing business with these two young men!!!

Dan came the day after I called to take measurements and he gave me a bid in a few days. I needed three sections of my garage roof replaced.. He brought a sample of the metal roof to my house make sure it matched some existing roofing. He came sooner than I expected and completed the job in one day. The inspection was professional. I was able to tag along and got a good explanation of what the inspector was seeing. I was very comfortable with the recomendations...e.g. what i should do, could do and didnt need to do ...at least yet. The fixes were easily scheduled and completed as described. I would definitely recomend them.

Called Dan right after a wind storm in November. He came out the very next day to do some repairs on my roof as we were about to have a snow storm the next day. He wanted to ensure no damage inside due to the shingles that had flown off in the wind storm. I couldn't believe he came out the very next day from me calling and did the repairs in the freezing cold. Then first thing when he had an appt open he re-roofed my entire shop in one day with a crew of 3! I appreciate him and his crew; they cleaned up and took all old roof. Columbia Plateau, Inc. put a new roof on our 110-year-old barn, in coordination with WA Dept. of Archaeology & Historic Preservation (DAHP) Barn Rehabilitation Project grant program. Despite the challenges of the 2020 Covid-19 regulations and restrictions, they kept us informed on unavoidable delays and complications, and did an excellent job of the highest quality, fast and for a reasonable price.
